WHO SAYS LEARNING IS FUN? All the Kindergartners at Jack & Jill!! Jack & Jill Kindergarten provides a stimulating and nurturing environment for five and six year olds. Children of this age are active, hands-on learners. They thrive in an environment where their ideas count, where they are actively involved in learning investigations, where their creativity is valued and encouraged, and where they are helped to respect their own specialness and that of others. The curriculum is based on the school’s philosophy that children learn by doing; that investigation and discover result in lifelong understandings. Exciting educational adventures in Science, the Arts, Music, Math, and literacy provide a solid academic background for first grade. Incidental Spanish lessons, a foster Grandparent program, an all-day literacy component, 20+ integrated field trips, and art experiences are a few of the unique features of Jack & Jill’s Kindergarten Enrichment program. Classes are small in order to identify and address individual strengths and abilities. Then, within a small group and under the guidance of a loving teacher, the children progress at their own level of achievement.

Kindergarten at Jack & Jill is a unique, happy and nurturing learning experience. Children learn best by doing, emphasizing investigation and discovery. This atmosphere fosters creativity, independence, a positive self-image and an excitement for learning.

Bus transportation is provided.

Mother Goose spreads her wings and flies right into the classroom for Jack & Jill three year olds as they experience their creative program through Nursery Rhymes. The year begins with a Teddy Bear Party when the parents may stay with their child throughout the session, if they desire, to make the transition from home to school easier. Further into the year the children cook with the Queen of Hearts, learn math concepts while enjoying large and small muscle activities with Jack Be Nimble, use creativity when ice painting with Polly Put the Kettle on, have fun with farm animals with Mary Had and Little Lamb, and, much more. Throughout the year the children develop important language skills and social skills such as taking turns, sharing, sitting together for group activities, and practicing good manners. The children are also given wonderful opportunities to explore, create, and express through music and art projects.
Are you not sure if your child is ready for the classroom? Children registered in this program are given for a six-week trial period. During this period the teacher and the parents will decide if the program meets the needs of each child.
